BARIS KARAKULLUKCU

Barış Karakullukçu, the President of the New Generation Entrepreneurship Business Line to contribute to the development of entrepreneurship activities of İşbank and its subsidiaries, graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Industrial Engineering and completed the Management Information Systems program at Boğaziçi University and the Executive MBA program at Koç University.

Karakullukçu started her career as a consultant at IBM & SA (I-Bimsa) in 1996 and worked as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in 1997. Karakullukçu, who worked in more than 25 countries as responsible for global business solutions at the consulting firm Accenture between 2001 and 2005, joined Accenture Turkey in 2005 and became a partner in 2010. During her consultancy career, she has carried out complex program management, digital applications, and technological transformation projects for more than 50 clients.

Between 2012 and 2016, she worked as the CEO and Executive Committee Chairman of Mudo and managed the company's transformation journey. In 2017-2018, she managed Turkcell's data and analytics-centered transformation program. Ms. Karakullukçu was appointed as Global Business Services and Consulting Sector Country Leader at IBM and assumed the role of Türk Telekom Strategy, Planning and Digital Deputy General Manager in 2020. While preparing Türk Telekom's 5-year strategic plan and managing digital applications and services, she also ensured the progress of the efforts focused on creating value in the new economy such as Pilot Acceleration Program, TT Ventures, and TTPay Payment Services.

Karakullukçu is also the Chairman of the Technology and Innovation Study Group under the International Investors Association and a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Turkish Informatics Foundation and the Artificial Intelligence & Technology Association. Besides her roles on the board of directors and investment committees of İşbank Group, she is also an independent board member of Arena Bilgisayar.
