CIHAN OZSONMEZ

Cihan Özsönmez completed the Leadership Program at Harvard University School of Business in 2018. He graduated from Bilkent University Department of Economics in 2002 and completed the Executive MBA program at Koç University in 2008. Özsönmez began his career in the Audit Group at Koç Holding and served as Internal Audit Manager at Aygaz AŞ in 2009. He started working as CFO at Koç University in 2011 and held the roles of CFO and COO together in 2018. In 2020, he served as the General Manager of the Vehbi Koç Foundation for two years. 

He currently serves as a Board Member at Inventram AŞ, the venture capital company of the Koç Group, and will also serve as a Board Member at Bilkom AŞ as of 2023. Between 2016-2023, he played important roles in the Koç University Incubation Center (Kworks) Board of Directors and pioneered the establishment of Unvest AŞ within Koç University, becoming the Board Member responsible for Business Development in this company. 

Özsönmez, who has been in senior management roles for over 10 years in his professional life, has pioneered issues such as institutional and cultural transformation, sustainability, and strategy development. He has worked in more than 50 institutions and has provided strategic management consultancy in different sectors. He has taken part in entrepreneurship and technology-focused studies, and is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation (GİRVAK), and actively takes part in organizations such as the Turkish Internal Audit Institute (TİDE) and the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD).
