SINA AFRA

Sina Afra is a serial entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Tiko.es. Previously, he was the founder of Markafoni, Turkey's first online fashion website. Until May 2014, Sina Afra was the Chairman and CEO of the Markafoni group. Naspers Group's acquisition of a majority stake in Markafoni was one of the biggest exit deals in the Turkish internet sector. As an "Angel Investor" since 2007, Sina Afra has invested in 39 startups in Turkey, Germany, the USA, the Netherlands, the UK, South Africa, and Switzerland, founded nearly 20 companies as an entrepreneur, and made 9 exits, primarily Markafoni. He is also the Chairman of the Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Turkey (2013-2017), a member of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD (2017-2019), and one of the founders of Galata Business Angels. In 2014 and 2015, Sina Afra was named one of Europe's 100 most influential people in Technology. Selected by Forbes magazine as one of the "Minds Alive" Turkey list in 2019. He received his higher education at the University of Münster and Harvard Business School. Sina Afra graduated in Business Administration and speaks 5 languages. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he worked at eBay and KPMG.
